Like the K9 Storm Patrol-Swat Vests, the K9 Storm Riot-Prison Vests are custom-fitted and have the same versatile built-in load bearing harness system. The Riot-Prison Vests are available in two levels of stab protection: Riot Prison Vest 1 and Riot-Prison Vest 2.
Threat Protection:
K9 Storm Riot-Prison Vest 1 defeats 50 joules (37ft/lbs) of ice pick threat while Riot-Prison Vest 2 defeats the California Ice Pick Test - 110 joules (81.1 ft/lbs) of ice pick threat as tested on ballistic gelatin by the United States Test Laboratory. K9 Storm utilizes Dupont Kevlar Fibers - the latest in stab technology. Kevlar Fibers are 4 times stronger than steel. The result is an ultra dense weave that will resist penetration by even the narrowest tipped instruments. K9 Storm Riot-Prison Vests are designed to be used in situations where slash or stab attacks are more prevalent than ballistic threats.
Construction:
K9 Storm Riot-Prison Vests are custom-fitted using K9 Storm Inc.'s unique sizing template system. Our sophisticated computer aided design technology produces an accurate fitting vest and ensures full speed and mobility of the working K9.
